28. Willy vs The Vampire Lord
Author and publisher: Lee Tatlock (el_tatus)
Year: 2001
Special Edition (by Daniel Gromann): 2006
Language: English
Willy vs The Vampire Lord is the only gamma-released JSW game by Lee Tatlock (el_tatus). Its original 2001 release suffered from some critical bugs, which made the game incompletable. Those were discussed on the Manic Miner & Jet Set Willy Yahoo! Group, in detail by Philip Bee in message 2315, and also mentioned by others in messages 2281, 2643 and 2979.
Daniel Gromann created a Special Edition of the game, with Lee Tatlock's approval, in 2006, eliminating all of the problems which made the game incompletable, making the game more player-friendly by eliminating most of the unfair infinite-death scenarios, modyfing the final sequence so that the player can see all of the rooms created by the original author and adding a modified title screen.
