Manic Mining Robot's Day Out is a "secret bonus crap game" attached to Maria vs. Some Bastards, a game by Vidar Eriksen (Erix1). It can be launched on the initial screen by pressing "0".

GAME PREMISE: The roof is Central Cavern has just caved in. Help the Manic Mining Robot to get back at Willy for robbing the mines. Pay off Maria and exact your revenge!

Information about the game was revealed by Vidar Eriksen himself in messages 3454 and 3457 on the Manic Miner & Jet Set Willy Yahoo! Group; in the former he described it as "just compilation of screens and graphics" he "had to edit out of Maria vs some bastards".

The game includes some of the modifications to the original JSW48 game engine introduced by Erix1 in Maria vs. Some Bastards, most notably switches that allow the player to stop and restart the guardians in the room.

A standalone version of the game, with an added loading screen, created by Daniel Gromann, has been available on the internet since 2008.

The 128K Russian hack of Maria vs. Some Bastards, available on TRDos ReCracks, also contains Manic Mining Robot's Day Out, which can be launched there not by pressing "0" on the initial screen, but by bringing up the cheat menu by pressing "c" and then choosing option 7.

In the 2019 Bug-Fixed Edition of Maria vs. Some Bastards, released by the Jet Set Willy & Manic Miner Community Team, a typo in the scrolly for Manic Mining Robot's Day Out was corrected.
