Willy in the Islands of Mystery. Part II: The Temple was Hervé Ast's sixth JSW game and the fourth one using the JSW64 game engine. It was gamma-released in December 2025, 18 years after the release of the first part of the game, Willy in the Islands of Mystery. Part I: Exploration. The initial release included English and French versions of the game.
THE STORY: After exploring the islands, Willy discovers an ancient temple. To escape the Islands of Mystery, he must brave its dangers and collect all the flashing items hidden within. Perhaps the Temple holds the key to his freedom...
The game was designed completely by Hervé Ast, returning to the JSW scene after a prolonged absence. In the final stages of development, some enhancements were added to it by Daniel Gromann. These include, most notably, the music: Willy in the Islands of Mystery. Part II: The Temple is the very first 128K JSW game to feature various in-game tunes in different groups of rooms or individual rooms. It also showcases some custom-coded special effects added on top of Hervé stunning visuals.
The game uses Variant [, Hacklevel 12 of the JSW64 game engine.
