JSW April++

Author: Nigel Bland (Darkman)

Year: 2004

A version which uses Mark Woodmass's modifications to the JSW engine (together with a fix by John Elliott) making the game run faster, with four new rooms: "April Showers" (47) (designed by Dave Nicholls), "The CGA room" (61) (designed by John Elliott, with a changed sprite), "The other CGA room" (62) (designed by John Elliott) and "Oh Shit ! The Central Cavern !" (63) (a rendition of the opening room of Manic Miner, with a reference in the name to the ending room of Jet Set Willy II, reflecting the design applied by Andrew Broad in his Jet Set Willy: Manic Miner, with a changed sprite).

The game uses speedload with a custom loading screen. Three of the official Software Projects POKEs are applied, while the "First Landing" item problem is solved using POKEs suggested by Your Spectrum. The item in "Swimming Pool" no longer auto-collects.
