Versions and minor mods of the original Jet Set Willy

Various minor hacks

There are various hacked versions of Jet Set Willy on the internet which do not merit individual pages on JSW Central. They do not contribute any modifications to the game's rooms or game engine. Some of them feature custom loading screens, some have cheat menus, and probably most of them have their loading schemes and BASIC loaders modified in relation to the original.

Some selected files are discussed below.

Jet Set Willy - a hack from www.speccy.org

It has a compressed loader that features an additional intro sequence before the game loads:

jswminother_speccycz_intro

then a custom loading screen:

jswminother_speccycz_load

and then a "Training" option, which effectively gives infinite lives:

Jet Set Willy - Mildly Patched (by Andy Ford, 2018)

A version with "a few mild patches present". The author's intention was to try to retain reasonable originality, but taking a mild twist on the regular "four-poke fix". Care was taken to avoid overdoing any fixes, with a few exceptions. A detailed description of the changes in relation to the original JSW can be found on the project's homepage.
