6. Manic Miner 5: Los peligros del LSD
Author: Ignacio Pérez Gil
Year: 1998
Language: Spanish
Manic Miner 5: Los peligros del LSD is the only known MM remake created by Ignacio Pérez Gil. It was gamma-released in April 1998. The background story revolves around a "mammoth party" after which Willy finds himself in an "hallucinated and nightmare-like world", from which he has to escape. Will he manage to get away, or will he end up in a madhouse?
The game features modified room layouts, while most of the graphics and the guardian sprites and movements have not been modified. A novel feature are Spanish diacritical marks in room names and in the text of the scrolling message.
Manic Miner 5: Los peligros del LSD was only released as a Z80 snapshot (including what could be considered a custom-made loading screen). A tape version, playing exactly as the original, is available for download below.
