Manic Miner C.S.S.is the only known MM remake created by Nigel Fishwick (FishyFish). The game, which the author calls "his rejig of Mathew Smith's all-time classic platformer" is "based around themes and 'folklore' that have arisen on the comp.sys.sinclair newsgroup". It was created over a span of 18 months and gamma-released in September 2002. The game features an almost complete redesign of the level graphics and guardian sprites.
