Manic Miner - Light Modification
Authors: Pgyuri and Andy Ford
Year: 2020
Language: English
A twist to the original Manic Miner in which Miner Willy can only see what his lamp would conventionally light, making the game much much harder to play.
Pgyuri presented this project "in old-fashion magazine style", as a type-in, on World of Spectrum in July 2020. He provided POKEs to modify both the Bug-Byte and Software Projects editions of MM. Andy Ford then created ready-to-play TZX files of both versions of the game, with customised loaders and loading screens.
The "lamp" concept was later developed, refined and implemented by Norman Sword in some of the modes of play in Manic Panic.
