Various minor hacks
There are various hacked versions of Manic Miner on the internet which do not merit individual pages on JSW Central. They do not contribute any modifications to the game's rooms or game engine. Some of them feature custom loading screens, some have cheat menus, and probably most of them have their loading schemes and BASIC loaders modified in relation to the original.
Some selected files are discussed below.
Manic Miner - a TR-DOS version by Eye-Q (1999)
The original hack in SCL format works on Pentagon 128 or Scorpion ZS 256 only. However, it has also been converted to TAP format.

If you choose "Information", you move to a description of the game, mostly in Russian, where you can scroll up and down through the text. Some sample screens are shown below:
If you choose "Cheats", you can then select infinite lives, infinite air and immunity:

It has a compressed loader that features an additional intro sequence before the game loads:
then the Software Projects version loading screen (even though the game itself is the Bug-Byte version):
