1. Jet Set Willy 16K
Author: Jonathan Cauldwell
Year: 2009
Language: English
Jet Set Willy 16K is Jonathan Cauldwell’s rendition of JSW squeezed into 16K.
This remarkable achievement came at a price. The mansion is cut down, in particular there is nothing past the Tool Shed, no MegaTree and no 'top level', i.e. "On the Roof", etc. Most rooms have fewer guardians than the original and their sprites are mostly white. There are no ropes, no arrows and no conveyors. Most of the articles have been dropped from the rooms names. There is no sound in the game with the exception of a noise on a loss of life. There is no 'boot' Game Over screen and no ending as such - the game just ends with a message "Game Over" when it is completed.
Number of edited rooms: 38
Number of rooms accessible without cheating: 38
Number of rooms which need to be visited to complete the game: 33
(It is not necessary to visit "Master Bedroom", "East Wall Base", "Halfway up East Wall", "Swimming Pool" and "West Bedroom".)
Number of items to collect: 52
Bugfix needed after original release? NO
Spare lives at the start: 7
Completable without loss of life? YES
(The game does not have a toilet run. It is completed upon the collection of the last item. This last item has to be the one in "Front Door", because there is no way to return to the playing field after collecting it, so if it is collected earlier, the player will not be able to complete the game.)
Starting time and the best documented completion time: N/A
(There is no clock in the game.)
