Also known as: Higgy 2: The Wrath of McMania
Author: Mr Tom
Publisher: Beebush Games
Year: 2019
Language: English
Higgy II: The Wrath of McMania is a game similar in concept to JSW. It features twenty-one screens. The game was created by Mr Tom. The story was written by AtFruitBat, and Bendix Engmann's artwork was used in the production of the game.
GAME PREMISE: Ian Higton’s quiet moment of feeding his beloved cat Titch is violently interrupted by his long-time nemesis, the oiled-up wrestling heel Mr. McMania. In a dramatic showdown, McMania kidnaps Titch and retreats to his golden castle in the sky, daring Ian to attempt a rescue.
With no obvious way to reach this airborne fortress and hordes of minions standing in his path, Ian must rise to the challenge. He will have to journey through city streets, sewers, and deserts to find McMania's castle and save his cat. Can he overcome McMania's trials and save Titch from captivity? The outcome is in the player's hands.
The game follows on from Higgy: A Speccy-ish Adventure, a PC game by the same author, featuring the same protagonist, Ian Higton. As this earlier title was released for the PC rather than the ZX Spectrum, it falls outside the scope of interest of JSW Central.
