Year: 2006
Language: English
Mpthrilla: The Metal Miner is a MM-style game created using Platform Game Designer. It features 16 rooms; the last one loops back to the first upon completion. The game was created by Michal Vrbňák; Matthew Smolko coded the music (with drums by de Vandemar Croup), and Mark Sprue contributed additional work.
GAME PREMISE: A controversy erupts when the band Mp3llica declares war on the MP3 format, fearing that digital copies of their music will make piracy too easy. Driven purely by profit rather than a love of music, the band unleashes a relentless campaign against MP3 users.
As a devoted fan who believes in the right to create backup copies of legally owned CDs, the player must recover a scattered MP3 collection before it is destroyed. But the task will not be easy, as manic lawyers and even the hostile band members themselves are determined to stop the recovery effort.
Gather all of the MP3 backups and secure your musical future in your private auditorium!
