Pyramania
Author: N. Murray

Pyramania is a platform game bearing a striking resemblance to JSW, albeit utilising a completely different game engine. It was originally released within the e-magazine 16/48 Magazine Tape 12. Later on, it was re-released by Bug-Byte Software Ltd. It features 31 rooms and 24 "artefacts" to collect.
GAME PREMISE: Spaceman Fred, while exploring a pyramid on an alien world, stumbles upon a hidden entrance in the rock. He goes into a dark passageway, then suddenly a hidden door falls over the entrance. On further exploration, Fred finds an inscription on the wall which reads, "To be released from the ancient tomb, you must collect the treasures from all the rooms. Once all are in hand, enter the mummy case, then make quick your escape back to the entrance gate".
The player must guide Spaceman Fred through the pyramid, collecting the treasures so he can escape.
The Bug-Byte re-release has a different background story, apparently unrelated to the space setting. It goes like this: When the evil Pharaoh Bugenkamen died, his vast treasures were buried with him deep inside his pyramid. To prevent marauding bands of looters from making off with his prized collection, stolen from his many enemies, Bugenkamen insisted that the pyramid be booby trapped and guarded by all manner of evil beings.
The player needs to overcome the curse Pharaoh Bugenkamen placed on his final resting place, make their way past the obstacles in their path, retrieve the treasure and get out alive.
