Oh good, I will no
longer have to cower in the bottom-left corner before I
can jump over the sausage/jelly bean! :-)

Is it worth releasing this oh so minor
alteration?

Only you can decide that, but if you're going to make
that change, there are others I would like to
see:

* Perhaps the removal of some of the multi-death
scenarios. You know what most of these are, although you
might not be aware that it's possible to fall down the
right side of the chute in "The Drop" (there's a Brian
Eno album of that name, although I haven't got it -
yet) and hang yourself on the rope.

* You
suggested in the documentation a much better name for the
room to the right of "Hammersmith Appollo" (spelling
mistake there - "Disapointing" is another) - "Jelly-Roll
Morton" or whatever it was. I think you should
rename.

* You confuse me with Andrew Noble in the credits.
:o

Anyway, at least I'm still typing The Time Hole into my
real Spectrum, which should minimise the hassle to
some extent. Just four rooms to go (60-63). I was
going to type in Henry's Hoard in December, but I'll
have to postpone this because I have issues with the
versioning of - and the compression used in - Henry's Hoard.
So I think I'll type in Monstrum! instead, which is
the next JSW game I'm up to...

I
came across that just last night, when I first saw
"Have faith and go forth"! It's nice to see I'm not the
only one with a trained eye for quirky features now! I
especially like the way you have to jump from the room to
the left, although this does risk infinite death on
the static nasty. I may exploit this deliberately in
the future. :->

Which reminds me of a nasty
multiple death scenario when you teleport from the
bottom-right of "No Turning Back - Which Way", and fall to
your death if you don't jump up onto the invisible
conveyor just as you teleport. That "White Tower" room
reminds me of the "Black Gate" rooms in JSW:LOTR.
:-)

sendy: I have read the room descriptions for where's
woody, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them,
especially "one for the broad minded" and "don't get kari'd
away"! :-) It will be at least March 2001 before I get
to type ww into my real Spectrum, though, and it
will take me three months to do so. In the meantime,
I'll have another go at installing MacSpectacle 1.9.7,
which will hopefully support 128K mode much
better...
