Subject: in-game tune editing in maketune
john, if i make a 256-byte .TUN in maketune and
save it off, will it be loaded into the appropriate
address in the finished .TAP?
or, do i need to use
the jump location command in maketune, and then do
the save function (which i understand saves
everything from 30000 and is fixed that way)?
i tried
looking at the .TUNs in the hex editor but i couldn't
find any correlation at all between the pitches,
lengths, and the numbers before me.
i also had a
fiddle changing random bytes of the .TUN and the result
was a random series of bleeps which i was actually
going to use as the music (because it was kind of
amusing) until i noticed that it corrupted a tiny part of
the sprite graphics (one of the guardians).
i
guess that's what you get if you don't know what you're
doing!
