Subject: Re: Games Designer and other editors
" I was into Marble Madness editing, though, and
did several games for that. I doubt it would be
possible to get them into emulator format, though, as they
were saved in a weird protected format. "
pity.
i never really got into the editor, i think i was
too impatient at the time, and it seemed asif you had
to type the screens in character by character (i
never had the instructions). that's how it was on the
c64 anyway. i also had no idea how to insert baddies,
and the other moving features of the landscape. was
there support for all this in the editor? also, i never
understood how you could specify what was *behind* stuff.
very odd.
i did have a spindizzy editor for the
amiga later, though, called spindizzy worlds, which was
excellent, because you could rotate things and edit in
isometric 3d. i got into that for a while because it had
loads of features, but eventually gave up on amigas
altogether (for some reason :).
it would be good if
you could get your marble madness (that's mm, right?
:) games into emu format, since i've never seen an
edited version of that game.
