Subject: Re: A great year for the MM/JSW communit
"Sad news like Vidar's absence aside, 2000 has
been a fantastic year for the Club. Read the following
list and agree:-
* A staggering 15 new MM/JSW
games were released this year!"
I think I
mentioned this in an earlier post. It's quite impressive
considering that between the beginning of the net and the
start of 2000 JSW games have been released at a total
average of just under two a year (I think, I'm not being
totally accurate here)
"* Andrew Broad released an
early version of JSW CK
* John Elliot's JSWED is
getting better and better
* John Elliott's Manic Miner
Patch"
I'm always excited when we see advances in technology
- it means we can go further in the field of
Willy-engineering (I want that on my passport under the job
entry!)
"* The discovery of Henry's Hoard as a JSW rip-off
and foreign-language versions of JSW"
I also
get a perverse thrill from the idea of Henry's Hoard
being "outed" as a Willy game :)
"Many thanks to
everyone at the Club - let's carry on the Great Willy
Games Explosion into 2001! :-)"
I'm right there
with ya Phil! Just wait until the PC editor comes out.
I intend to experiment with that like there's no
tomorrow [incidentally when it does, look out for my first
PC Willy game, provisionally called "The
Superduperchocolicious Willy Game" which with a bit of luck won't drive
me mad with frustration :)]
"Stuff to look
forward to:-
* Geoff Eddy's new improved Geoff
Mode"
We should get a copy of this to Mr Noble, so he can
incorporate it into his editor (unless it's out by then, in
which case he might want to sit back from it for a
while)
"* John Elliot's wonderful new JSWED"
Can't
wait - I could make good use of it I'm sure when I get
back to Willy vs the Beatles
"* Andy Noble's
JSW II PC + editor"
See above
"* Stuart
Brady's MM 128k engine (is this still being worked
on?)"
Let's hope so
"* Loads of new MM/JSW games!
:-)"
Like Willy vs the Beatles maybe?
"This'll
probably be my last post until after Christmas, so Merry
Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone involved in the
MM/JSW community! :-)"
See you then. Have a great
Christmas yerself!
SOA1000 (with much too much time
on my hands :)
