"This so-called jsw scene(as i like to call it)
is very exotic with two finnish guys (me and
suomipeikko), lots of englishmen and norweigean (by this, i
mean Vidar) and Lindsell_X was from......can't
remember just now."

Don't forget Adban all the way
from Sunny Spain. We still need a proper US contingent
I feel, but I suspect it's going to be a while yet.
An internet Willy following will not have the same
effect on America 2001 that the game had as a national
videogame revolution in Britain in 1984. Sadly.

As a
diversion, I can't help think of Andrew's Willy pages, where
he appealed for anyone with ancient home made Willy
games wasting away in cupboards and drawers to get them
released to the net. Logic dictates there could be
hundreds* (in various states of completion), considering
the impact of the original games. And that's not
counting all the games made on ems that the creator didn't
see fit (or wasn't brave enough) to release to us
greedy Willy watchers

*I wonder how many copies
were sold of the editors released at the time? That
would give some help in guessing the number of Willy
games made on tape.
