Subject: first glimpse of WGDTB
WGDTB, "or willy goes down the bog", for long, is
the thing i've been rattling on about (and working
on) recently, when really i should be finishing death
tv (which *will* get finished sometime this
year!).
so far i've got a funky new look (see the screenshot
for a peek at the new font and a taster colour scheme
:), 20 rooms of quirky puzzles and a bit of action...
some previously unseen effects involving invalid
arrows, invalid ramps, conveyors, and some rooms where
willy doesn't half act strange (stranger than ever
before!!). it's alot more (waaay more) disjointed than my
other games.
please can someone tell me if
'willy goes down the bog' is a crap title? i wanted to
sort of use the analogy of willy going down the
toilate and resolving the problems as a metaphor for the
inner struggle we face as part of the human condition
(something i feel was part of the crux of we pretty -
although i could be wrong) - having to face the
unpleasantness and fight through it; the toilate being a good
image since it's a fairly universal thing, everyone has
a toilate. not only that but toilates seem to
feature heavily in willy world (erm...) and i've dreampt
about imaginary worlds down past the plumbing (both in
terms of a willy game, and in terms of
pseudo-reality).
erm..... anyway.
