Subject: Re: sleep deprivation
" Now that I think about it, it might be an
interesting experiment to go flat out on a 128k game, and
finish it as best as you can when you've been at it for
a week. It might also be an interesting experiment
to get yourself a coffee maker and lots of coffee
beans and lock yourself away without sleep, editing
until you pass out ;)
Seriously, think what kind of
insane game that would produce "
it's dangerous.
a guy called robert fripp (or tripp, i forget
which), went on a sleep deprivation marathon for charity
and didn't sleep for something like a week - may have
been two. by the fourth day he was hallucinating
(seeing spiders in his shoes amongst other things) and
although he survived (and raised alot of money for
charity), he was never the same man afterwards; his
marriage slit up, his business went 'down the bog' and he
became desperately unhappy. he may have even commited
suicide!
sleep is where most of the creative seeds are sewn,
too. i love being asleep :)
