I'm sure the games I refered to were called
Pandemonium and Pandemonium 2. If I remember rightly they
were scrolling platform games, and whilst I certainly
have nothing against scrolling games, I would probably
prefer any future JSW/MM games to be flick screen,
although if it was properly done then I suppose a
scrolling game engine could be very
good.
Incidentally, some months ago I did e-mail Matthew Smith to
thank him for seventeen years (or so) of JSW/MM fun and
frustration, and to ask him what he had planned for the
future. Sadly, he never replied. i would like to think
though that he might even now be working on a platform
game for us all. Especially since if he used a cross
platform C++ format then MAC/PC/Linux/DOS etc users could
potentially play it. I can but hope...
