it seems to be the only screen where the guardians
(sea-lions) are only for aesthetic reasons. They pose no real
threat. Are there instances of Aesthetic Guardians in
JSW/remakes? Presumably so."
I know there are aesthetic
baddies in JSW, for instance I don't think the chandelier
in The Hall can even be reached. Also the bird in
The Ballroom East, because while it could kill Willy,
that would only happen if you jumped, and there's
never any reason to do so. It would be like
intentionally walking into the Sealions.
The monkeys
from Inside the Megatrunk and On A Branch Over The
Drive are totally unreachable, so they're there for
decoration too
As for remakes, well I can't remember
most off hand (there are definitely a few in JTJS),
but I can tell you now that I'm sure I put a few in
Time Hole, and that there are scads and scads of them
in WvsB. When I finally get it finished, watch out
for the lift attendant. That's one of my favourites
