Yes, I've been aware of this for years - if you fall into the portal without having
collected the item below it, you don't fall down and collect the item like you might expect, you
finish the level with the key still visible and without being awarded 100 points for
collecting it!
I should add this to my list of quirky features if I ever get round to
updating it again! ;-)
