Destroy: "T HEF A U LT Y
LI N E" in We Pretty.

Create: In Bulgarian Requiem, after I'd typed in the
guardian class table and before I typed in the rooms, there was a floor-creating invalid arrow
in "Under the MegaTree". There are no instances of this guardian class in the Bulgarian
Requiem rooms, however.

BTW, there is also an uninstantiated pixel-height horizontal
guardian in JSW Ivy! :-)

Presumably that's the same phenomenon as
above, with one arrow to put static nasty and another to put background?

earth/ramp fusion blocks

If `earth' is your term for `wall', then We Pretty ("DIA MOND B O
Z Y"). Stay men, nearby. We must caress SU's Mr. Dykes.

A second-order quirky feature which builds on background-putting
invalid arrows.

That sounds very clever. I'm not really
familiar with diagonal guardians (JSW128 diagonal guardians, I take it, rather than Geoff Mode
diagonal guardians).

I presume you're alluding to ramps with Offset 218 = 255. It was
John Elliott who first posted about them here. There is an Offset 218 = 255 ramp in
Goodnite Luddite's "A SUNBURST NIGHT", but you've got until 26th June 2002 to beat me to that!
;-) However, I *do* have a novel quirky feature up my sleeve for Goodnite Luddite,
although at the rate you're going I worry that you might discover it yourself by then! ;-) It's
amazing what an unorthodox process of typing JSW games onto other JSW games on a real Spectrum
can reveal...

I take it that's not just the
springy platforms seen in We Pretty and JSW(again)? (background colour = ramp
colour)

patch)

Arrows usually collect items because the items are drawn after the arrows, so if an item
collides with an arrow then it collects itself because the arrow has white ink. However, if
Willy is black then the items must collect themselves if they collide with black ink. The
arrows must also collide with black ink pixels (but the colour they appear as (still white?)
has nothing to do with the colour they collide with).

YES!
