Subject: Re: Highest Theoretical Score
Well, I'll try posting this one again, Mr.
Yahoo...
"would be extremely complicated...NP-complete or
worse"
Perhaps Quantum Computers will help us in about 50 years
or so. :-)
"Philip Bee proposed a scoreboard
for the MM/JSW community ... (on a real Spectrum
only, since emulators run at different
speeds)"
The real Spectrum issue would help to prevent
save-cheating as well, but even so, organising a scoreboard
would be a nightmare.
But...for a laugh, I've
been playing through 'Central Cavern' and have gotten
my score up to 1709 (i.e. on one life, after air
bonus). Can anyone beat my score? Errr, 'yes' is probably
the answer.
Stuart.
