Subject: Re: 'plot'
I'm just a lurker here, don't do a lot except ask
for tips on we pretty, but it strikes me after the
conversations had on here of late that a purely technical
series of willy games would be interesting - i.e. a game
where all the rooms have ropes, or all the rooms have
types of guardians or travelators or whatever. There
would be no need for plots, just pure technique (I know
We Pretty is very technical but it still has a story
to it) - I would go into detail about Jackson
Pollock in this respect and what he did with painting,
but I've just come in from a party and it's a bit
late!
I also like the really artistic games, with symbols
in the rooms rather than landscapes/scenarios. If I
could edit games I'd do a 12 room zodiac game, "Willy
Reads his Horoscopes" or something like that. The
backgrounds etc could be the 12 star signs etc, with the
emphasis on visuals above all else.
Or "Willy goes
through the alphabet", a 26 room game based on each
letter of the alphabet.
Has anyone done "Willy on
the Underground" and map it to the Tube system? Room
for interpretations of London there...!
