Real Spectrum Emulator allows you to create .avi files
as you use the virtual 'Spectrum', though of course
this eats up hard disc space. James Mckay sent me a
private beta of the new X128, which has amongst it's many
great new features (such as full screen, no border mode
and a 'fast forward' key) the facility to record
movies, though I haven't yet tried that
feature.

It's certainly possible, it's just that there is at
present no software to run on it ;o)
Incidentally,
didn't YS3 (see the link at WOS) once mention a Spectrum
compatible operating system for the PC? Obviously a joke,
but still....
