Subject: Spectrum movie files
I've tried X128 beta and I cannot get it to
produce a working movie, though
a) This is a ver
early beta, designed to show off the graphics modes and
new features, but not the movie files, and
b)
The movie file produced is .mov, not .avi, and since
I've never used .mov files it may be my PC at fault.
Anyway, Real Spectrum produces .avi files and seems to
work fine.
You mention that to save space it
would be possible to just store the user input. This
wouldn't work in many cases, as many programs generate
random numbers which wouldn't start from the same 'seed'
each time, though in many case this would be avoidable
by having the start state and the continous user
input recorded with total precision.
" Which
version of JSW was it where "Doctor Jones will never
believe this!" was renamed "I mean, even I don't believe
this!"? "
It was JSW 2.
