Subject: dear john... i've been thinking...

i am not sure if you plan to develop JSWED any
more, or if you agree to letting others modify it, but
since other people seem to be developing games on it,
and since it's a very versatile editor anyway, it
makes sense to me to bring these thoughts to your
attention, should you plan on doing another
version...

i have a few suggestions which i think would be
very minor adjustments, but would add much to the
user-friendliness of the program.

1) the ability to move
from room to room *via the connection scheme*, ala
paul rhodes' editor. maybe it's just the way i work
with designing, but this would speed things up for me
no end!

2) setting room exits by typing in
the room number, as opposed to selecting the room
from the list. this is because with 255 rooms it can
take rather a long time to scroll down the
list!

3) ability to clear a room to either a) blank tiles,
or b) any other of the 4 tiles.

4) the
ability to copy all bitmap designs and physical layout of
one room to another (done by pressing a 'room copy'
command key and then typing the destination room
number).

that really would give the program an edge, imho, and
i think they are only minor adjustments
programming-wise (i could be wrong!).

thanks for
reading!

sendy
