Subject: Re: synthetic vs. natural
"could you give me some examples"
Best
examples are 'Count W.'s Pipe Organ' (looks like an
organ), 'Matheos' Private Observatory' (regards the
telescope and the moons), 'The W. Village Townsquare' (with
church), The Staircases (with spiral effect), 'The
Statuary Gallery' (statues always work well in JSW!), 'Ye
Olde W. Well' (with turning handle) and 'A Bulgarian
Requiem' itself.
Stuff I'm proud of in Monstrum!
includes 'The Red Lion Pub' (optic and broken glasses),
'The Upstairs Lounge' (disco lights and handbags),
Parson's Beach (with sand barriers), overall effect of the
four screen church, Urquhart Castle and the surface of
the Loch (with send-style water animation), 'On the
Green at the 9th Hole' (9 flag), 'Peat Bog' (dithering
effect for bog and nice weeds).
I guess it's all
in the details. This is why using static guardians
for additional background is a good
idea!
Stuart.
