Subject: New Jetset Willy PC Game
I am in the process of writing an engine in
multimedia fusion for jetset willy.
Do not think it is
like my last game for the PC, A Very Willy
Christmas.
That was kinda sloppy and rushed and errrm, never
actually resembled a willy engine in the slightest
:)........
It is a new engine, written from the ground up,
overwriting the basic limitations of the built in MMF
platform engine.
It will not emulate the original
exactly as it will have to make room for the new features
and to exactly replicate the original engine would be
impossible for my skills at the moment :)
( anyway, you
can't improve perfection )
While this may not go
down so well with the hard core willy-ers ( oo-err
misus ! ) I am going to expand upon the engine and add
things like crumbling floors, crumbling ramps ( maby :)
) lifts,ice blocks ( ;) sendy ) , and any others
that spring to mind :)
It will be called Jetset
Willy Advance and will not be released for some time as
the basic engine is still under construction and
testing.
Once the game is complete, it will be easily editable
by anyone with multimedia fusion ( of which a free
version with just save stand alones disabled ) can be
downloaded from the net.
Anyway, the second alpha is
a couple of days away and if the playtesters report
is favourable, I shall start constructing a few
rooms.
p.s sorry for the lenghty babble
That is
probably more text in one post than I have done in the
last several months.
( the last post wasn't out
of madness by the way but a continuation of Johns
Bab5 theme :) )
