Well, I gave it a go, and I'd say it's great.
It's made on the Games Factory (one for you Scottige),
and it looks a lot like Manic Miner with a shedload
of graphical bells and whistles (although Willy and
the guardians stay the same). One thing is, the rooms
are four or five times the size of the originals,
which on screen means that Willy and his enemies are
tiny, and the designer seems to have compensated by
having four or five levels with a huge guardian taking
up most of the screen.
One thing is, when you
start the game, turn off infinite lives. I couldn't be
bothered figuring out how, and jumped straight in, which
meant I was able to finish the game in an hour
