Dear sirs,
we realize that after eras of
oblivion the aura surrounding Matthew Smith has attracted
a simultaneous interest.
It certainly attracts
you, who wonder about the design of the Prime Mover�s
personality while toiling from your emulating boards on a
daily basis.
It also attracts the hallowed
webmasters of the website �where is Matthew Smith? Eh?� who
spread
Wisely the legend of the Vanishing.
Quite
inevitably it continues to attract dozens of newsgroups,
clubs and websites:
Endless pages of love, devotion
and unbound imagineering.
It did attract Channel
4 which had the privilege and pleasure of showing
him again after 20 yrs of uncredited rumours spurring
International pundits queing up to tell the story.
Obviously
we take pride in belonging to this category�
We
all know this all happened faster and faster:
it
is simply what the Germans call zeitgeist.
We
fell screaming from entrance to Hades,
We died a
1000 deaths under the megatree
We went a-roaming
and a-wondering, whistling in the dark on the Last
floor of the mansion, never to find our way
back.
Now we have access to 50 mins of Italian Television
to chronicle and rapsodize.
Part of our work is
exploring your work, the rooms that stretch Willy�s
house.
In the past few weeks we wrote to some members of
the manicminerandjetsetwilly Yahoo club
Trying to
involve them in the project. (Insights, interviews,
in-depth analysis)
Frankly, the absolute zero feedback
left us sad and confused.
Somehow we feel we have
the duty and the right to insist.
We publicly post
this plea
Hoping for allies, roadfellows, stool
pigeons and mercenaries.
