Subject: Diagonal guardians
<< i've noticed if i have a diagonal, all
the other guardians on the screen don't animate or
move... is there a way around this or is it a limitation
of the game engine? >>
It's a bug in
the HL6 game engine. Try
downloading:
http://www.seasip.demon.co.uk/Jsw/hl7fix.zip target=new>http://www.seasip.demon.co.uk/Jsw/hl7fix.zip>
which will make the necessary fix in
RTIME.JS2.
The same ZIP file can also be used to add diagonal
guardians to a JSW48 game (Warning: Doing This Will
Invalidate Your Warranty. Always Keep A Backup). To do this,
get hold of the game as a +3DOS-format file saved
between 32768 and 65535 (TAPSPLIT will produce such a
file from the original JSW .TAP file; or just extract
the last 32896 bytes of the .SNA). Rename that file
to RTIME.JS2, run the fix on it as above, and stick
it back into your .SNA or .TAP.
