I'm sorry to hear that, especially from one of my favourite JSW
authors. We all have times when inspiration sags. But never say "never
again"! :-)

I like these games a lot - what really sets them apart is that they
are so-oo atmospheric! :-)

I've got all three typed into my real Spectrum now, and I completed
Willy's Afterlife with a finishing time of 9:23 am. I haven't
completed any JSW games that were released after Utility Cubicles (nor
/any/ JSW128 games) because it's so hard to find a couple of hours to
sit down and play through a JSW game! :-(

BTW, in terms of typing JSW games into my real Spectrum I'm now about
two-thirds of the way through Frosya the Cat, which is looking great
too! :-)

Of course!

I'm flattered that you singled out my game out of all the future
projects! Goodnite Luddite now has 44 rooms written / 20 to go (and
I'm planning to write another tonight), and I wrote three new
diary-entries yesterday! I guess I'm about halfway through the diary -
and it's already as long as the We Pretty diary! :-)

I'm very pleased with the way Goodnite Luddite is going - it's my best
game so far. It's very atmospheric, it has some visually attractive
rooms, the connectivity is just the way I like it (with several
Promised Lands!), and it liberally exploits quirky features in almost
every room.

It's not my most difficult game in terms of every room being rock-hard
(as Ma jolie is), but it does require great awareness of quirky
features! Often, while playing other people's games, I spot quirky
loopholes, and think "I'd better not go that way, because it's
obviously not what the author intended." In Goodnite Luddite, such
loopholes are deliberately exploited! ;-)
