Subject: No rest for the wicked
Even though I just posted Willy the Rogue I've instantly started work
on the final part of the Down and Out Trilogy. Like I've already said
I re-used rooms from my scrapped side project, which has supplied the
first 7 rooms for the new game. I have drawn and placed the guardians
and rather than sticking to my original idea with these rooms, I have
improved the graphics rather than recreating them. Some of the
guardians I have dumbed down a bit rather than improving, just to
give that feel of me taking liberties. I have constructed 6 of the 7
rooms I intended to make an interactive start up. Obviously the whole
stigma of an interactive start up is removed when you play the game
because all it is, is a mix of conveyors and spanky graphics. I have
fully recreated the coke sign in the background of one of these
screens. I will be working solidly on this game with every spare
minute I have because I have decided I want the Down and Out Trilogy
to be a full product of 2002 and I'll bring the special editions in
2003 as promised. I know I kept the origin of my side project secret,
and I know some of you probably worked out what I was doing, but I do
promise you this. The final part of the down and out trilogy will
include every sneaky trick I've picked up along the way every
graphical effect you can cheat the game into doing and it's gonna be
VERY hard, unlike the first 2 games of the trilogy.
