as possible, please! :-)""

Easier said than done. Here's the situation with it:

* The C16 horizontal guardians tend to move at three different
speeds - slightly faster, slightly slower and exactly the same as
Willy.
* Guardians also move through walls and each other
* The items flash in an entirely different way to JSW Spectrum -
basically they have a set colour (a la Henry's Hoard) and just flash
on and off [also of note is that where the Spectrum has INK and PAPER
colours, the C16 just has INK - the other colour is ALWAYS the same
as the air]
* the C16 has a radically different colour scheme. I don't know who
the hell designed the C16, but they must've been depressed. I've
never seen a dingier colour scheme on any computer
* I have no idea how the game ends (getting one of the items is close
to impossible) but I've not seen either Maria or a toilet, so I
suspect it might be different to how the Speccy ends

Some of the graphical gliches (both Willy and the guardians flicker
constantly) could be down to the emulation or the ROM. But
ultimately, I'm not sure if JSW C16 is a half-assed conversion, or a
lovingly done conversion for a half-assed system. Still, I shall
persevere, getting the colours as close as I can, the guardian
instances as close as I can, and screw the problems with flashing.
It's the end I need to worry about after that I fear

""Would it be a 48K JSW or a JSW128 game?""

128k purely because I wanted a customised font. I might as well black
out the title screen totally, since C16's title consists of the words
JET SET WILLY "flashing" in colours so dim it took me a solid minute
to realise the game had loaded

""Shall I add it to my List of MM/JSW Games?""

Feel free, but put it in bits and pieces, not games proper. C16 JSW
consists essentially of about half of JSW 1 (with half the graphics
to boot - this gives us such fascinating sights as a penguin and a
jelly in the Chapel rather than the monk and the demi-god) with new
colours and a handful of new rooms. Even if I manage to work the
Dragon rooms into it, that's maybe ten new rooms tops. Suggesting
it's a new game in itself is frankly laughable

On a related note, John, if you do update JSWED any time soon, could
you stick in a function to change the colour of Maria, the toilet and
the death screen guardians? Just JSW c16 has a yellow barrel, and
although I know how to poke in a different colour, it would be nice
to have it in the editor
