Ah! Sorry about that, I've never tried the C16 files (as far as I can
remember), I just downloaded them intending to play them one day. If
you're sure they're corrupted, and not just incompatible with your
emulator (try any other emulators, it's possible that it's an
incompatibility problem...) then you could try either:

or

http://plus4.emuviews.com/ (though this was down when I tried it).

These two C16 sites are the only ones I have bookmarked, and although
the second one may be gone for good, the former looks very
comprehensive, and perhaps the site owner can help you?

Regarding the rumour of a raft in JSW, that rumour was started by a
hoax letter to Your Spectrum (issue nine, I think). I didn't fall for
it, though I did fall for the April Showers article some months later.
