Hello mate,

>First, I was shocked when read such a description of my game.
>I`m very happy that my game looks like you`ve said about it.

It really is superb, and in the eighties would have sold tens of
thousands of copies, and made you rich. I wish there was still
money to be made in 2D platform games, as they can be (as so
many of the JSW/MM rewrites prove) really fun and worthwhile.
Nowadays, though, most companies will only release 3D games.

>From this place only "ewgf" can read, because it is very secret
>information about the ending of the game, and if you`ll know about
>it, you`ll be out of interest to finish my game. And don`t attempt
>to do, what Carl had said.

With any luck, most people wouldn't have read my post anyway, as
they'll still have been too drunk from Christmas ;o)

>.... Pssst! Carl, those screens are secret screens (You were
>lucky to enter the secret passage), and the game can be easily
>finished without entering those two rooms. BTW. If you don`t know
>one of quircky features effects you won`t try to get through the
>wall, right? ..

OK.

>Hey, you aren`t Carl!! ...

I am, no-one else is this fat ;o)

>Finish this game properly! I made ir for the whole two months!!
>So spend some time finishing it!!

I will do, if you promise to make some more games this good!

>THANKX!! .... oh! Now we are along again. So those secret rooms
>especially will lead you to the finishing errr... I better
>say "stuff". So there are no bugz. It is such rooms that especially
>lead you to the ..... when you`ve been tired to play the whole game.
>But I used it to test how the ..... looks like.

I see, sorry I mentioned it then :o(

>Carl, I congratulate you with founding secret rooms!

It's possibly not that difficult to find these rooms; I e-mailed
the game .zip to Andrew Owen, the bloke who is writing SE BASIC and
several hours later (the same night) he e-mailed me back saying how
good JSW: ZX Heroes is, and mentioning the passage; [I quote] "The
best bit though is undoubtedly the FMV bit if you go off the start
screen to the top left and just follow the path.", so maybe other
people will find it, too.

Incidentally, Andrew also pointed me in the direction of a game
he'd written, called Nazomi Quest, which contains graphics from
other games. Try it, it's a nice little game, and is available from

http://www.duketastrophy.demon.co.uk/csscgc2k/entries.htm

The zip file is:

http://www.duketastrophy.demon.co.uk/csscgc2k/csscgc2k.zip

>But why not to e-mail me, telling me about it. Now mostly
>everybody knows about those secret rooms to the left from......!

Yes, sorry about that, but I know how you've had problems in the past
with e-mail, so I thought it might be quicker by Yahoo! message
board...

>Tell me the whole adress od that "alt.binaries....", so I can
>copy it and to get somewhere.. :-)

Oh, sorry. It's a newsgroup that you can upload and download
files onto, and I access it with Outlook Express. The address is

alt.binaries.comp.sinclair

If you have any trouble accessing it, let me know, and I'll post
JSW: ZX Hero on there.

Cheers,

Carl.
