actually, i bet it is that u know! Rings a bell.. i was guessing that it was at the time when he (Software Projects) was going to release his (then) new game for the speccy. You know, i can't rememeber what it was called, but the advert for it appeared in the speccy mags for a couple of months.. quite weird it was too. I think this was around 88/89????

true, i can understand that. Still, i can't imaging anyone being pompous enough to be offended by an email.. bet he's a nice guy :)
