No it's fucked, I'll have to re-do most of it now, I dunno how much
longer I can work on this game. It's sendin' me mad, it's not the
first time I've lost a chunk of it. I know I said I was gonna take my
time with it but somethin' seems to go wrong every time I sit down to
it. I'm so pissed off with it I'm not goin' to touch it again for at
least a day. I think I'll add to the special editions of the down and
out trilogy instead at least they behave themselves haha. But my
question about teleporters still stands how many can you have? I've
got almost 30 as I've already said, but I thought you could have
about 40? Anyway on a lighter note I'm hoping to create a reasonably
impressive title screen for bizarre Which I intend to transfer a
black and white BMP of myself onto. I also intend to make the main
picture of which I have several rough ideas for quite colourful and
more impressive than my previous efforts. The screen for Still
stealin' probably being the one I've took the most time on to date.
I've taken a little time to do a few sprites for Monkey, but nothin'
groundbreakin' and I've added a 3rd screen to The Thing but it's
unfinished. I have however came up with a pretty risky idea for
monkey I was going to have certain rooms played by certain characters
just by swapping the main sprite in rooms or by teleporters I'm
uncertain weither to stick with this idea or to try a risky idea of
character picking Basically a room where you can pick Monkey, Pigsy,
sandy, or tripitaka and perform a mini quest with each character.
This will be based upon the characters existance before they all meet
up. This is where I'm uncertain also because I was thinkin' if I was
to do the mini quest thing I would have to make the game a 2 part
venture because I'd surely exhaust the games resources by the time
they all met up. So do I do a 1 part game with sprite swapping or do
I do a 2 part game? Part one containing mini quests and part 2
containing the main journey with sprite swapping. Or do I demo each
idea over say 5-10 rooms and put it to the vote? Either way it'll be
a while but this way at least I can get started properly, it helps me
to have more than one game on the go at once that way I can add to
whichever one I'm in the mood for hahaha. But I have 7 games on the
go now, that's enough to keep me goin' until I churn out some more
ideas.
