Subject: Famous MM and JSW by Andy Noble and the comp by Craig still no sound
I tried the VDMSound and did a reboot, still no sound, I really hope
someone can fix this for us all so we get the sound working with
WindowsXP and SB Live. I even found by accident JSW 2 v1.0, this was
while I was trying too search for a patch ect. The Sound doesn't work
with this one either :( You can have a maximum of 15 IRQ's, but for
some reason XP has created virtual IRQ's and my SB Live (Player 1024)
is sitting on IRQ 16!! I have my swap file switched off as I have
512meg of ddr memory and I cannot imagine for one moment the games
won't work as no swap file is present. Please can someone help us
out, I loved all these games for 20 years now, and find them more
entertaining than modern games for the PC. If a game can keep one
playing 20 years later then the Author Matt Smith deserves a medal,
as I have never experienced this with any other games. Nostalgic you
may call me, but MM & JSW have ruled for 20years, and no doubt they
will outlive me, they are the best games ever written. So if any of
you guys are good coders etc. can you PLEASE fix these games,
otherwise like I said I will have too play them on my C64 Emulator
which has no problem with the sounds :) Craigs complation of an all
in one package, which included more versions of JSW etc. no longer
works. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US OUT!! I am running XP with SP1, TI
4600 G4 4 and an XP 2100 processor. So these games are not even
going too use 5% of my system. It's a problem with the SB Live
Cards, I am thinking about purchasing a Pci SB16 if I can find one
and run it with my SB Live!
