Subject: Matthew Smith is GOD of the Software scene
I started playing Manic Miner, JSW I and II back when they were first
released on the C64. I am now approaching 34 and I still love these 3
games 20+ years on. The Graphics and sound are awesome all these
years on and the playabilty is 2nd to none. I don't know of any
other programmer that has the fame and support that Matthew Smith
has. Now that I can't play the Andy noble conversions with cool
updated sound and graphics as winxp and the live cards don't mix very
well, but no loss my ccs64 emulator still runs underXP despite being
released some years back and I can enjoy playing them with no
problems, and that makes me very happy. :-)
Long live this forum and no doubt Andrew Smith will still be talked
about on the net when we are all in our 70's. I would love to meet
the man in person and thank him for the 3 best games ever. I find
most PC games very shallow, nice graphice but playability is rubbish.
I hope you get to read this if you pass by Andrew Smith and drop me
an e-mail if you don't mind.
