Subject: Jet Set Willy II PC - Windows Edition
As always, I like messing around with my JSW PC code, and this time
I've managed to get a small portion of it working on Windows XP via
Blitz Basic. The code is based on Jet Set Willy II rather than Jet
Set Willy. The main differences are:-
- The editor (Game Builder) is more like it would be on a Spectrum.
It uses the same font and is keyboard based. It's more like one of
the old JSW editors (not Johns).
- Each room has it's own blocks rather than having a block "list",
and has two of each type to choose from i.e. two air, two water, two
fire etc..
So far it plays pretty faithfully to the original ;)
I'll see if I can get a beta version in the files section for poeple
to try but right now there isn't really much to test. I'll get more
of the game working first ;)
On another note, I'm designing a few more rooms on Demons including
a "Grim Reaper" room. It seems to be taking longer and longer to
finish.
Dan
