why is this? I've played many java games using Safari, Camino and
Mozilla. Even IE5 is pretty cool imho.
It's JavaScript, not Java. JavaScript is usually used to create
annoying pop-ups on websites, Java is usually the thing responsible for
crashing your browser. Safari is pretty good performance-wise but has a
few bugs, all related to getting the state of the keys, which obviously
makes playing games out of the question; Mozilla and derivatives aren't
exactly performance beasts on the Mac (I have a 400MHz G3 PB running OS
X); IE, whilst now the worst of the bunch as far as most things go, is
the only browser capable of playing my MM version.
Have u an url for me to test this? http://www.bigredswitch.co.uk/games/mm/ ATM we have a 700mhz iBook, the slowest Mac u could buy in Feb when we
got ours!
700MHz, slow!? A 700MHz iBook must be a like a Ferrari next to my
Morris Minor of a Pismo PowerBook.
ohh and i get my G5 next week, so an even better test :-D
