Subject: Re: [Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy] Re: How can I get Jet Set Willy
Thank you - I have managed to download the Real Spectrum emulator, got it up
and running and am working my way through the games. Brilliant stuff!! Sound
works with Windows XP and everything.
When I first started playing the games Willy seemed to be moving very slow,
like wading through glue - because I was used to playing the Jason Brooks PC
version. After a while I tried that version again and it was almost
ridiculously fast. Now definitely prefer the more sedate pace... strange
that.
This is probably a stupid question but is there any way of changing and
saving the start-up settings of Real Spectrum? It always starts in a tiny
little window and I have to use F11 to change to full screen, things like
that. Also is there any way of saving high scores, games, etc. or will I
just have to rely on pen and paper?
Once again thanks very much for the info.
I am having a ball reliving these old games!
