No, it is not possible to jump over a static nasty at head-height in
JSW or MM (although it *is* possible in JSW2).

Having collected the item, the only way to escape without
sacrificing a life is to jump into the left wall (stand on one leg
facing the two floor-blocks embedded in the wall) so that you can
jump up into the room above.
