Drat. Looks like the engine upgrade isn't working properly.

If you take a copy of JSW48 and upgrade it to JSW64, does that allow
you to add the extra guardians?

Not in the basic game engine. There are exactly 18 free bytes left,
scattered about in ones and twos. To add more features, I'd have to
start stealing sprite memory. Which isn't completely out of the
question - after all, that's how the JSW128 teleport system is added.

As for guardians, the following type numbers are not used:

11 and 12: These could be used for 'full' animated sprites.

72, 88, 104, 120, 216, 232, 248: These could only display one frame,
absent special circumstances.
