Well, it is a combination of my obsession for JSW and my
perfectionist desire to see things fully finished, put in order,
classified properly, etc., especially things I like a lot. It's not
really "healthy", because sometimes it drives me to do hard work, but
it's also a lot of fun :-) .

Thank you for your kind words about "JSW - The 2005 Megamix" :-)
I hope it will live up to your expectations and provide a pleasant
playing experience to everyone who will find the time to load it into
the emulator. Over the last weekend I had some brilliant ideas :-)
and expanded the game, inserting into it some features which I
hope will be a little novelty in JSW designing.
In fact, the game is practically ready now, but I still need some
time for play-testing, to make sure there are no bugs, to polish up
some details and also to finish the accompanying text file. I don't
want to rush things, but I think I should be able to release it in
two to three weeks' time.

About "Jet Set Willy - The DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!" - in my very
subjective evaluation, I would say it consists of:

- 19 "new" rooms (technical numbers: 01, 06, 07, 08, 09, 12, 13, 17,
30, 36, 40, 44, 45, 46, 47, 60, 61, 62, 63)

These rooms give the first impression of being new, i. e. do not
create an immediate association with any of the original JSW rooms.

- 13 "modified" rooms (technical numbers: 00, 19, 31, 32, 33, 37, 38,
39, 41, 42, 50, 53, 59)

These rooms are easily identifiable as modified rooms from the
original JSW, but the differences are quite visible.

- 10 "slightly modified" rooms (technical numbers: 23, 24, 25, 28,
34, 49, 51, 54, 56, 58)

As above, but the differences with the original rooms are visibly
smaller.

- 8 "very slightly modified" rooms (technical numbers: 04, 05, 21,
22, 26, 27, 29, 43)

These are almost original JSW rooms, with very small changes.

- 12 "unmodified" rooms (technical numbers: 02, 03, 10, 11, 14, 15,
16, 18, 20, 35, 48, 52)

These are original JSW rooms with the exception of name changes in
some of them.

There are also two empty rooms (55 and 57), which do not really fall
into any of the above categories.

So statistically the game is about 30 % new and about 20 % modified,
and the rest is unmodified or very slightly modified. In this sense I
guess it is quite comparable with "The F. I. Remake" (which I
subjectively described as being about 25 % new, 15% significantly
modified and 60 % unmodified). Now, what that means for the proper
classification of both of them is for Andrew Broad to decide :-) .

Anyway, I like some of the new rooms in "The DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!"
(especially "Take it to the bridge", "I see something up
ahead", "What! No Bellz?", "The Oubliette", "You haven't seen the
last of me!" and "They built this wall for you man"), simple as some
of them may be. I even used a design idea from "Take it to the
bridge" in one of the rooms of "JSW - The 2005 Megamix" :-) .

So, I hope "Maria on Tour" goes well. If you are halfway into it now,
as one can understand from the numbers of rooms designed / planned
you have quoted, I think it will be very impressive if you manage to
finish it by May. Anyhow, it'll be a pleasure to see it released,
whenever that may ultimately happen, and to play it :-).

Daniel
