Subject: EVEN MORE STUFF!!! :-)
HELLO! again. Maria on tour 41 rooms deep. Super Manic Miner 7 screen
semi-playable pseudo startup original 20 screens (untouched at
present) and 3 new caverns (on hold til' I finish Maria on tour,
partially cos' Maria is gonna go down the mine briefly in Maria on
tour and I don't want to exhaust my Manic Miner creativity).
Next up thanks to Daniel for pulling apart JSW: The DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!
I was interested in your opinion and you delivered. I promised a
special edition of this game and had started work on it to a point
when I'd polished up a few rooms and improved the guardian sprites
(mainly the 2 sprite high ostrich thingy in "EGGY CHUCK!". Daniels I
suppose I could scientifically call it an analysis has inspired me to
abandon my slightly tidied 48K SE and make it a fully polished 64
version.............and why not :)
Then Welcome Dick Daggers, a painful sounding name but it's always
good to see a new face with enthusiasm.... I look forward to your
games.
Also what dick said about making his game without realising it was
the same idea as another author. I too now am suffering that. I
started Making Maria on Tour after having been offline for 2 years
and I must admit although almost completely different from the idea
of role reversal it is similar. In effect the fact the whole story of
Maria on Tour is Willy stamping his foot and saying do ya job for
once fatty! In fact the games Master Bedroom is called "Do your job
you fat Bitch!" and has Willy in Marias place. But I'm so far into it
that I refuse to stop, and I'm sure my game and Role Reversal
although with similar ideas for story will be 20 million times
different from each other. I didn't mean to make my games story so
similar.
The Manic Miner I was making that has no name has 2.5 screens done
but I'm also halting that until Maria on tour is finished. Then I'm
halting everything else until I've tied up my almost 3 year curse
that is the game Bizarre. I'm going to finish it within' the next few
months and release it so you can all look at it and realise why I
came to hate it so much.
I actually went through my JSW folder and realised excluding 7 days
in the sun as the format of everything after day 1 is uncertain I
have 2 48k games, about 5 128k games and 4 JSW64's on the go. No
wonder I haven't finished a game for so long.
I apologise once again for a post that would feed a thousand Elvis
fans
